Record of Casualty. September 23rd 1887 North sea. Spurn bearing WSW 290 miles. We lost our smacks boat. She capsized whilst returning from boarding the cutter with fish. The 2nd & 3rd hand who were in the boat were rescued by the boat belonging to the smack Lochness of Hull, after being in the water for 20 minutes.
