Memoranda by Skipper. On 1st February 1889 whilst fishing about 160 miles ENE of Spurn we trawled up the body of a man dressed as a fisherman, about 45 years of age, height around 5ft 3\ with ginger whiskers. The only mark on the body was a bruise on the left temple. After examining the body & the same being done by a doctor from the mission ship, we threw it overboard again. From a letter found in one of the pockets of deceased his name would appear to be Graham. We took the boots of deceased , also from his pockets the letter previously referred to & a tobacco pouch.
