February 7th 1889. At the Police Court this day before the magistrate, Charles cummings deck hand was found guilty of wilfully cutting the trawl warp. Therefore causing loss of fishing gear ( estimated value about 70 ) and was sentenced to twelve weeks imprisonment with hard labour.
