Record of Death or Injury. 30th April 1891 North sea. C Ferret. Whilst working on the engine, fell and crushed his arm.
Record of Casualty.
February 28th 1891 North Sea. Collision with a smack name unknown. Weather fine but very foggy. Our whistle was blown repeatedly the smack showed no flare.
Memoranda by Skipper.
Left the dock on the 18th of April at 1pm , at 1.30 pm the chief engineer, W Turpin, got the thumb of his right hand crushed with the engine. Turned back and landed him at 2pm. Got G Bushby as a substitute and proceeded to sea. The accident occurred through his attempting to unscrew a nut & could have been prevented by his stopping the engines.
