4/5/92 North Sea. Lost our smacks boat, oars & life buoy. Run down by my own vessel. I was visiting on board the smack Rosalind of Hull & owing the skipper some tobacco the deck hand of the Rosalind volunteered to fetch it from my vessel as he wished to have a talk with one of my crew who was known to him. When endeavouring to pick her up the William De La Pole ran into her and overturned her & the sole occupant was drowned.
