16/7/91 7.30am. George Jefferson 4th Hand apprentice. Strained himself whilst lifting a box of fish from the boat to the cutter. Kept him onboard the vessel until 26/7/91 as it did not appear to be serious, but on that date received instructions from the owner to send him in . He went to London calling at St Bartholomews Hospital Whitechapel Rd, where he was pronounced well enough to go back to his work, which he did the following day.
