Description:

Originally one folder, this printed ephemera has been split into two bundles and is roughly in chronological order. The first bundle begins with the first known surviving printed matter relating to the Hull Chemists Association; a letter inviting assistants and apprentices to a series of twenty-six 'Pharmaceutical Evenings' commencing in Dec 1869 in the Church Institute on Albion Street, Hull, and continuing weekly until May 1870. The second bundle includes a booklet printed in commemoration of the Centenary of the Hull Chemists' Association 1868-1968 and a programme for the Centenary banquet held at the Hull Centre Hotel on 14 Nov 1968. Other items included in both bundles are invitations to various Association events, menus, letters and syllabuses.
