Admin History:

Hull Cycling Club is known to have held various road races in the 1890s, including races to Bridlington. It is unclear whether the Hull Cycling Club is related to the Hull Bicycle Club, which was founded in 1876. The photographs were found by Edward Waterson in an empty house in Hessle, where they were about to be discarded in c.1977. The name of the original owner of the photographs is unknown (the house was a 1920s/30s house on the opposite side of the road to the Cemetery).
