Records were initially donated to the Hull University Marine and Maritime Institute by Alan Hopper, honorary research fellow at the institute and former director of the Industrial Development Unit at the Sea Fish Industry Authority on Hull's St. Andrew's Dock. The records were later deposited by the institute at the Hull History Centre in 2017.
