The Hull History Centre has a number of other records relating to the fishing industry in Hull. This includes two trawling companies, Thomas Hamling and Co. Ltd (C DBTH), 1884-1984 and Hellyer Brothers (C DBHB), 1887-1979. At C DIWY is a Fisheries Company Commission Book, 1937-1955. Other records include those within Rose Down and Thompsons (C DBR); tenancy agreements within the dock records (C DPD/6) and building plans at C TAB. At C DSF are the records of the Hull Fish Merchants Society, 1954-1976. The History Centre holds the fishing crew lists for fishing vessels operating out of Hull between 1884-1914 (ref C DPF), details of which can be accessed through our online catalogue. The centre also holds the registers of Hull shipping, also known a Custom House registers. These cover the period 1804-1994 and include Hull registered trawlers.
