Mr Lovett to continue as Conductor; Coming season's programme to blend 'attractive and familiar with music which is new or unusual at concerts in Hull'; 'Closed season concert' held at Hymers College; Resignation of Mr Heald-Smith and his replacement by double-bass player Mr John Beagle; First concert coinciding with local bus strike; Existence dependant on local authority grants; Increased efforts of Ladies Committee in reducing Society's deficit; Grant received from Arts Council through the National Federation of Music Societies; Covenants promised by many existing patrons; Need to increase number of patrons; Messrs Fawley Judge & Easton as Honorary Auditors.
