Death of Mrs Jean Slack, Honorary Orchestral Secretary; Illness of Mrs Mary Martin who had promised to take over some duties of Mrs Slack; Opening concert of past series featured the Society's first performance of Beethoven's Choral Symphony in conjunction with the Bach Choir and the University Choir; Planning for first Sponsored Concert underway and concert scheduled for 30 Mar 1972; 90th Anniversary of the Society to take place during the next season when a special commission by Wilfred Josephs will be performed; Thanks to Mr Lovett as Conductor; Thanks to Hull Corporation and Haltemprice Urban District Council for financial aid.
