File contains colour photographs of an orchestra rehearsal with Bennett Zon at the YPI, George Street, Hull. The rehearsal is in preparation for the Society's Orchestra Concert held 25 Nov 2000 which featured a special commission composed by Zon and titled 'Litany of the Sea'. Note that this commission was made by the Society as part of a 'Millenium Programme' during which all past commissions of the Society were performed, and which programme culminated in the performance of this new commission by Zon. Photographs show the Orchestra rehearsing under the baton of Andrew Penny, Penny consulting with Zon over a music score, and Zon holding a score titled 'Litany of the Sea'. Note that the photographs were taken by Hull Daily Mail for a promotional piece to be printed in the paper relating to the new commission.
