Hull Junior Philharmonic Orchestra visit to Sweden 27 May 1972-31 May 1972. John Beagle, Conductor. David Scotney, Musical Director. During the visit the Orchestra played at the following venues: Valbo Shopping Centre; Gavle Theatre; Furuvik Zoo; Skutskar, Rotskarsskolans Sporthall; Bollnas, Folkhogskolan; Hofors, Hagaskolans Aula; Gavle, Stenebergsskolan.

Programme: National Anthems; Elgar, Nimrod; R. Vaughan-Williams, March 'Sea Songs'; C.M. von Weber, Concertino in E flat op.26 for Clarinet and Orchestra featuring solo by Andrew Penny on Clarinet; J. Haydn, Symphony No.100 in G 'The Military'; Beethoven, Overture 'Egmont'; Elgar, Idylle; J. Strauss, Waltz 'Tales from the Vienna Woods'; E. German, Suite 'Nell Gwyn Dances'; J. Strauss, Polka 'Thunder and Lightning'.
