Description

Admin History:
In 1947 Hull Rotary Club and Hull Inner Wheel Club established a home for the 'poor and elderly of the City and County of Kingston upon Hull'. They purchased Rosemont (sometimes spelt Rosemount) House, at 35 Pearson Park which was established as the Rosemont House Trust. In 1975 in order to safeguard the funds of the house, the trust was renamed the Rose Park Trust, and took in any resident of Humberside attaining the age of 60 who needed 'care and attention'. In 1983 Rosemont House was passed to the Leonard Cheshire Foundation, whilst the Rose Park Trust continued to support the needs of the older people by distributing grants to other organisations involved in the care of the elderly
