Description:: Exercise book containing minutes of meetings of the CHA Conference Committee elected 4 Jul 1956 to organise the holding of the 1958 CHA Conference in Hull. Business includes the arrangement of venues and accommodation, provision of entertainment, discussion of fundraising. Events to be held at Newland Methodist Church, University Assembly Hall, City Hall, and Victoria Galleries, and Thwaite Hall and various hotels used to accommodate overnight guests. Surplus of £92.11.11. raised and transferred to the General Fund. The following officers directed the committee: Mr E.E. Brook, Chairman; Mr E. Williams, V. Chairman; Mr F.E. Wise, Treasurer; Mr F. Turner and Mr A.C. Amery, Joint Secretaries; Mr R. Fisher and Mrs E. Brooks, Joint Hospitality Secretaries. Committee members included: Miss M. Brown; Miss M. Brier; Miss E. Marshall; Mrs M.
