Lists of volunteers employed in the repair of war damaged housing that were transferred to London on 25 Jun 1944. The main list shows the name of each contractor (alphabetically by company name) and, in most cases, the order number under which they are working. It also gives the total number of men employed by each contractor, their names, home town, age (not in all cases) and trade.

The trade of each employee is given in the form of a code:

BP=Bricklayer-Plasterer

J=Joiner

P=Plasterer

S=Slater

PL=Plumber

BL=Bricklayer-Labourer

JL=Joiner-Labourer

SL=Slating-Labourer

L=Ordinary Labourer

E=Electrician

PA=Painter

MD=Motor Driver
