Admin History:

A meeting of the Hull Board of Health in January 1867 instructed the Parks Committee to maintain a meteorological record in Pearson Park. February 1867 saw the Parks Committee informing the Park Gardener to begin such a record, with forms being agreed upon in the March and recording details commencing shortly afterwards. When the Board of Health was taken over by Hull Corporation, the practice of recording meteorological information continued. The Park's geographical position is recorded as latitude 53° 45´ north longitude 0º 16´ west
