Admin History:

The Aerodrome Committee of the Hull City Council was established in 1929 to deal with matters arising in connection with the purchasing of land and the letting and use of the aerodrome. It went on to add the control and management of the municipal airport from 1938. The committee was terminated in 1953. The Unemployed Grants Committee was established by the government in 1920 to assist local councils to carry out public works other than housing and roads. It had lapsed by 1932 and abolished in 1950.
