Admin History:

The Charity Hall Appropriation Committee was set up by the Corporation to investigate the purchase of the old Charity Hall on Parliament Square for use as a new police station. The hall had been replaced by the Guardians of the Poor with a new building. Made up of 6 members, 3 from the Watch Committee and 3 from the Property Committee, the Charity Hall Committee was wound up after the building was successfully acquired.
