1881-1886

Description

Admin History:
The Drainage (Special) Committee was established in January 1884 to consider the diversion of agricultural drains and to negotiate with local drainage commissioners. These activities were undertaken as a result of a report compiled by John Wolfe Barry and Joseph Sharp Fox in 1881 for the Corporation of Hull and the Beverley and Barmston Drainage Commissioners. The committee was actually terminated in October 1884, although the negotiations continued for some time afterwards.
