March 1836 saw the setting up of the Dock Accommodation Committee, who were to consider the moves by the Hull Dock Company to extend its facilities. The Committee appears to have been wound up after the public meeting in December 1837 although the council were still meeting with the company and in March 1838 this responsibility was passed to the Property Committee.
