Admin History:

This committee was established in February 1900 to consider and report to the full Council with reference to the re-arrangement of the work of the City Engineer's Department. This was as a consequence of the increased duties which would devolve upon the department and to the certain further increase of work in the near future. Having reported back, the committee was terminated from in November 1901. These records relate specifically to the appointment for the new post of Estate Agent and Valuer for the city.
