Hull Town Council Vicars Salary Committee
- Dates:
- 1849
Description
- Admin History:
- Since 1661 and the act which separated the parish from Hessle, Hull Town Council had paid a stipend of £100 towards the maintenace and support of the vicar of Holy Trinity Church. In January 1849 the council decided to appoint a committee to investigate the raising of this stipend since 1842. This would find that some collectors had not, according to the committee, been diligent enough in their duties. Having reported back to the full council in May 1849, the committee was dissolved.
