War Damage to Roads and Bridges

Includes correspondence regarding road blocks and defence work on bridges in the City of Hull, construction of landing grounds, emergency trenches, road barriers etc. Also includes instructions from the War Department regarding work to be carried out on Corporation land pursuant to the provisions of Regulation 50 of the Defence Regulations Act, 1939 at various sites, particularly with reference to bridges.

Also includes a report relating to an accident at a road block during an air riad concerning Councillor J.H. Herbert.
