Admin History:

In July 1857 a Committee was established in order to invite the Yorkshire Agricultural Society to hold a meeting in Hull. It was initially hoped this meeting would be held in 1858 but it did not occur until the following year, 1859, after which the Committee was wound up. The Society had already held a previous meeting in Hull in 1841 and would have other meetings in the city in 1881, 1889, 1899 1905, 1922 and 1930.
