Created by the City Engineer's Department of the City and County of Kingston upon Hull during the Second World War and up to 1968, in the course of its role in the management of properties, commercial and domestic, that had been damaged.
Description:

These records include lists and receipts for personal belongings recovered from damaged properties and returned to the owners, records of furniture removal and storage, and the use and sale of salvaged materials.

The item titles have been taken from the front of each of file. The files have been kept in their original order and are not, therefore, in strict chronological order.
