The Trust was established by John Thomas Linsley and was also known as the Linsley Almshouses Charity. The trust initially built several houses on Rosedale Grove before building more on Ashwell Avenue/Hemswell Grove. In the late 1990s the trust merged with the Pickering and Ferens Homes.
