Admin History:

The Hull Soup Kitchen Society, established in 1861, appears to have operated on two sites in Holderness Ward. One was in The Groves, with the other in Drypool. The Society may have been established as a result of a need to offer relief to those affected by the adverse weather conditions of the previous months.
