Includes description of a fire in Prospect Street on 22 March 1914 at the Bradford Tent Works opposite the Infirmary, which saw the building burnt through to Storey Street (p.30). Also describes the crowded streets and public transport during a royal visit on the 25th June 1914 (p.65-67), with a drawing of the wooden barricades erected to prevent the crowds stepping onto the road.
