Admin History:

Frank Nicholson (1901-1982) was born in Hull and after attending Wheeler Street Elementary School and Boulevard Boys School, went to university in Sheffield. He became a teacher where he developed an interest in adult education. In 1930 he formed the 'Felllowship of Debate', a group of like minded individuals. This later merged with the Workers' Educational Asociation, for whom Frank would become a tutor and an orgainser. In addition, he was an early member of the East Yorkshire Local History Society.
