Admin History:

The Boys' Brigade first arrived in Hull in 1890, seven years after the organisation was founded in Glasgow. Over the next ten years the number of Companies steadily grew until, in December 1900 the Boys' Brigade recognised that there were enough Companies in the area for a Battalion to be formed. As a result permission was granted for the formation of the Hull Battalion on the 27th December 1900. This new Battalion then comprised eight Companies, totalling 37 Officers and 336 Boys. The Battalion is still in operation.
