Humphry Sandwith was a physician. Born in 1792 he went into medical practice at Bridlington before moving to Kingston upon Hull to become a physican at the Hull General Infirmary in 1841. Written and compiled in the years 1837-1861, it contains extracts from letters, articles and newscuttings with a partial index. Content includes details prior to 1837 such as details on the Sandwith's parents. Also includes a photograph of Humphry Sandwith aged 71. Loose item on p.14 titled 'to the honorable T. Duncomble, the humble petition of many [?] people of the parish of Helmsley'.
