Note within states this appears to be Gunnell's manuscript. i.e. in the hand of W.A. Gunnell and referred to by J.R. Boyle in 'A modern literary fraud: the Johnson Manuscript (p.19) as that bought by Westoby from Gunnell's widow.

The sections from p.70 appear in variant form in 'Sketches of Hull Celebrities, pp.30-168. The sections preceeding p.70 do not appear in the print version, but some in variant form are to be found in the hand of J. Temple in the Johnson manuscripts, see reference L DFJT.
