Newpaper Cuttings - entitles "The Pre-City Square period". Accompanying text - "This is the view which one got when standing on Whitefriargate Bridge, looking north and north-west, 22 years ago. The picture shows the junction of St. John Street, Junction Street, Waterworks Street and Savile Street and the Queen's and the Lord Londesborough Hotels in process of demolition. At that time the old Whitefriargate Bridge was in existence, with its shops and hoardings on either side". Showing corner of Dock office and base of Wilberforce monument. Original at Lp. 9.7 CIT/25.
