Material appears to have been collected for George de Boer's book on the history of Spurn Lighthouse (U DDB/3/2). It comprises a black and white postcard of Spurn Head showing lighthouse (Dec 1903); black and white photographs showing Spurn Lighthouse in the background of larger paintings, some are selected enlargements of bigger paintings and many have annotations on the rear (see also U DDB/2/1); leaflet from Ferens Art Gallery, Hull (1964); correspondence related to reproduction of photographs, definition of geographical terms and details about a painting (1962, 1971).
