Robert Burton Fowler of the King's Remembrancer's Office in the Inner Temple, esqs ii) George Stone, late of Christ Church Oxford, now of St. Swithins Lane, London, esq. to iii) William Smelt of London, esq: manor of Cherry Burton with messuage, 28 1/2 oxgangs and 3 odd lands, Raventhorpe Close, a half of New Close, a third part of Oxe Close, Chantry Garth, Martes Close (276ac. 3r. in all); 2 barns, 20 1/2 oxgangs, 1/2 of New Close and 1/3rd of Ox Close (195ac. in all); messuage, 15 oxgangs, 1/3rd of Ox Close and Smithy Close (142ac. in all); 5 oxgangs, an odd land and Town Garth (47ac. 3r. in all); and a cottage, all in Cherry Burton. Tenants named: Recites Mortgage as U DDCB/4/254, which is still outstanding.
