Received a letter from Arthur in Boulogne. Wishes he could see Raleigh and his brother soon but does not expect he will be able to before 1845. To think that Charles will not see his son again as a boy makes him feel 'melancholy'. Mentions Afghanistan, Trinidad, Sir George Arthur, General Maister.
