- Description of: travels in France, Belgium and England, including a visit to the Marquis de Montmorency at Beaumesnil; visit (27 Nov 1823) to a Mademoiselle Fouchet who visited Queen Marie Antoinette in prison, taking her clothing and food, and arranging for Mass to be said in her cell by the Cure of St Germain l'Auxerrois; meeting with Washington Irving and Miss Knight, late governess to Princess Charlotte of England; interesting description of travelling conditions of the time.
