Pleading: John atte Wode, by his attorney Robert de Ketford, claims against Thomas Beerton of Eycote the manor of Eycote near Ryndecombe (Rendcombe, co. Glos.) which Sir John Russell gave to Robert Crook and his wife Margery and the heirs of their bodies; and which (after their deaths and those of their daughter Margaret, her son Richard, and his son Robert) should have passed to the claimant as son and heir of the last - named Robert. The defendant, by his attorney Richard de Wilneford, denies that the gift was ever made.
