- The original is a bamboo cylinder, incised with 14 lines in the rencong script in South Sumatran Malay (V.Oph.151.VI = L.Or.12277). The text reads from the bottom to the top. Dr. Voorhoeve observes: 'A mantra against serpents; to them and to the supplicant all kinds of quasi-Arabic names are given: but the snakes are rendered powerless in the end by remembering their origin, a cut off portion of the navel-chord of the son of Batara Guru'.
