Reference to having been supposed to be in London today, purchasing chops at butchers and contemplation of becoming vegetarian, visit to Beverley, attempt to buy socks, mending 8 pairs of socks, having a port and playing a 'Bix tape' whilst writing, having made a Bechet tape whilst drinking last night, house viewing on Westbourne Avenue, letter from Judy, expresses 'I can't tell you how much more jazz means to me than poetry - as something one needs daily', having just re-read 'Love Lies Bleeding', asks her to keep quiet about 'Byrnies', house viewing in Cottingham, stew he made not agreeing with him, Germaine Greer.
