- Reference to enjoying time with Jones a fortnight ago, enclosing an Open University booklet [no longer present], comment that the 'patiently didactic tone' of the booklet 'would have had Philip [Larkin] swearing', discussion of content for 'Collected Poems', request that Jones indicate which poems she would be unhappy to see included, saw Andrew [Motion] and comments on his receipt of the Dylan Thomas Award, arrival of Larkin's letters to Kingsley [Amis] and comments on the same, visit to London tomorrow where he will be seeing an 'odd Larkin show called 'Down Cemetery Road', done by Alan Bennett and Patrick Garland.
