Contains volumes of minutes of meetings and working files created by the committee responsible for staffing matters within the Mission to Seafarers (formerly the Missions to Seamen). The committee has functioned under the following names: Ministry Committee (2004+); Pastoral Committee (1974-2004); Personnel Committee (1971-1974); Candidates Sub-Committee (1939-1971); Clerical Sub-Committee (1881-1939). Minutes relate to applications, appointments, wages, expenses, equipment, etc. and reference named individuals applying for and appointed to the posts of chaplain and lay reader. Working files include correspondence and associated papers.
