File containing leaflets, letters of thanks received, postcards, photographs of lighthouses, lightkeepers and their families, and one of Captain Parnell on a boat whilst visiting a lighthouse, map of Scottish lights and fog signals, small map of lights around the UK; typescript article 'The Ministry to Lightships and Lighthouses' written by Parnell for the 1964 annual report of the Missions to Seamen, notes, diary account mentioning visits to Mole Haven and The Galloper, manuscript musical score, book lists for lighthouse and lightship personnel, press cuttings, and two issues of Northern Lighthouses news sheet. Includes references to the following: Mr C.H. Cherrett; Bishop Lighthouse, Scilly Isles; Trinity Cottages, Scilly Isles; junior lightkeepers of the Missions to Seamen; William J. Lewis as keeper at Farne Lighthouse in 1963; Ladies Luncheon Club meeting in 1975; relief shift due 30 Jun 1959 at Beachy Head lighthouse; death of Captain Parnell in 1968, centenary of Bishop Rock lighthouse. Note that these records were found by a subsequent resident of the house occupied by Captain and Mrs Parnell, and were sent to head office in 2019.
