Volume contains manuscript signed minutes of meetings of the Trustees of the Deal Boatmen's Rooms, North End, Deal, with letters dated 1907, memorandum of a resolution re control of meetings, and a balance sheet covering 1881-1886 pasted into the volume. Also several enclosures as follows: agreement between the Trustees and Mr and Mrs George Philpot as caretakers of the Boatmen's Rooms, 1887; statement signed T.S. Treanor re advisement that no secular business be discussed by the chaplain at gatherings for devine worship, and that questions relating to the running of the buildings should be addressed to the Trustees in writing, 1907; letter to Treanor re Trust Deed of the buildings, 1907; agreement between the Trustees and Mr and Mrs William Staunton as caretakers of the Boatmen's Rooms, 1885; letter re retirement of Mr F. Cleeve and Trustee and need to replace him, 1901; letter re sum of £250 to be received from the Trustees at Deal by the Missions to Seamen, 1902; letter acknowledging receipt of and outlining the title deeds for the Boatmen's Rooms by the Missions to Seamen, 1903; template caretaker's agreement, n.d.; printed poster 'Rules of the Boatmen's Rooms, North Deal', n.d.; letter to Mr Philpott the caretaker from Mr Treanor re terms of his employment agreement, Jul 1902; two letters from Mr F. Cleeve to Mr Treanor re prospective Trustees, 1905.
