Includes references to: formation of a Centenary Sub-Committee in 1952; decision to allot £15000 for expenditure on the centenary; establishment of a finance panel; book to be published titled 'The Flying Angel' in the centenary year; production of a centenary film; City Luncheon chaired by the Duke of Edinburgh and a Thanksgiving Service at Westminster Abbey to be held; Century of Centenaries Appeal launched in Brisbane; Reverend A.P. Hutchison as Centenary Organiser, and his stepping down on medical grounds to be replaced by Reverend P. Mitchinson; Centenary Thankoffering Fund; publicty and special events; Centenary Fund standing at £30,000 in Feb 1962 and being used to further new work, but to be gradually liquidated and replaced with a Development Fund; grants and loans from the Centenary Fund having been given to Madras, Hobart, Melbourne, Townsville, Port Harcourt, Australia and The Tees.
