Includes references to the following: lighthouse adoption scheme; adoption of Round Island lighthouse by the Leeds Ladies Association, with Vickerman as representative; adoption of the lighthouse by the Leeds Knitting League, with Davis and Smith as representatives; names of lighthouse keepers; prayer cards; Christmas hampers during wartime and shoeboxes for individual keepers; Reverend S.A.R. Guest as chaplain to the lighthouse; sending of small parcels throughout the year; dissolution of the Leeds Knitting League.
