Description:: File containing individual card entries for (current at the time of compilation) chaplains, honorary chaplains, lay readers, lady wardens and lay helpers with the Missions to Seamen. Cards are arranged alphabetically by surname within the file, and record name, title, address, date of birth, date of ordination, marital status, date of application to the society, children, education, date of joining the society, position held in the society, although not all fields are completed in each case. Additional notes relating to the individual's career within the society are often recorded on the reverse of the cards.
