Series contains files relating to individual personnel, mostly chaplains and lay readers, but also some lady wardens and head office positions, working on behalf of the Mission to Seafarers (formerly the Missions to Seamen). Files generally contain applications, references, correspondence, and notes, and usually reference appointments, denomination and churchmanship, resignations, pensions (where applicable), and deaths. These files are arranged alphabetically by surname to reflect the original order of the series.
